alright so nobody ever reads this because i rarely update it so here's a little thing i recently realized for those who lurk:

in morrison’s JLA and in a possible future where darkseid has conquered earth, darkseid at some point blasts older batman with his omega beams and sends him out of time and space. sounds familiar, right? final crisis and all that? wrong. i'm not talking about final crisis. this is before that shitshow happened. please focus

anyway, my points is that even though the justice league managed to turn back time and effectively erase that future from ever existing, even though our batman essentially never went through it all, that older batman from the future still in some sense exists because of darkseid sending him out of time. so a version of batman never makes it back. a version of batman did go through that possible awful reality of darkseid winning and seeing his friends die horribly. and he's still going through that. how fucked up is that?
